Some people know me as a designer, some as photographer. I am also a wanna-be writer and a terrible administrator. I am based in Jakarta. I hope my writing can give something back to my community. Well… I know you were as one of the most naughty school mate, but the success you achieved now, amazes everyone who still remember you as you were and changes your image 180 degrees.
Too bad, the Femalography stopped, if not, it will probably give out another perspectives to the world.
Keep up the good works, friend. I might consider to call you if i’m going to need a event organizer or a fabulous photo of myself.

Never know this guy before a friend of mine introduced him to me … shortly, we become partner in a restaurant business.
Until then I realized that this guy has a sharp concept of achieving plus the spirit and wisdom.

Hey Jerry,
First of all, you are my role model and my inspiration in photography subject.
I have a question to ask (hopefully you have time to answer it ^^). Beside creativity, is it true that super high-tech with high level price camera and some expensive additional photography equipments are needed in order to make a perfect picture?
I have a small studio, with complete equipments and it all in standard level…but I have lots of creativity go around my mind, and that question is really bugging me…

It’s simply not true. I started with really cheap camera. I never used new cameras for the first 4 years of my pro career. I still use lots of cheap materials to make my photos look good.
I didn’t even have any studio in my first year as a pro.
If you have loads of creativity in your head, why bother thinking of things like this? Grab your camera and start shooting!

About the way your work amaze lots of people, thats obvious, but the way you describe that ideas is the most valuable factor for photography… for me thats a lot, i 4ever thankyu for this insight, since many photography discussion mainly about, new gadget, lenses, technical stuff,etc…
If its not to much trouble, i would love to have your upcoming seminar / workshop schedule for 2009, cause i really would like to learn a lot first hand from someone who really have passion for what they do in design & photography….

I first see you on a tv show in metro TV, then i search about u in the internet. After i saw your pict, wow i think your photograph is unique, creative, and very inspirational.
Something yelling in my mind when first i saw this blog “who is jerry aurum ??” then read all of ur posts and ur photos really inspired me…and then i still kept thinking “whatta nice life u have, very colourful…”
